*THE QUEST*

Arriving at workforce at least three to four times a week it saddens one to see the people who have been coming here for a year or more. To see the expressions of distress frustration, determination, on the faces of all these people, and yes even irritation. Even using wittiness to help cope with the daily situation that must be extremely taxing. To put on a good act telling others about a phone call, an interview, or a possible hire.  Hey! How did you do with such and such? Oh I thought it went very well. I hope to hear from them next week. But next week comes and goes. Disillusionment: checking out job sites, hammering your fingers endlessly on your keyboard. Frantically hoping that the next call or interview is the job you’ve been searching for. Trying to build up your self-confidence again. Giving it yet another attempt as the days and weeks keep on passing by without an income. Worrying about your family, how can you provide for them, and how much longer until your savings are exhausted. How much longer can you keep extending yourself with your credit cards? Getting deeper in debt; with no light at the end of the tunnel. It’s demoralizing. Feeling the burden and all that responsibility on you shoulders. And still not being able to take care of those depending on you.

There are some very gifted and highly experienced individuals in this room everyday that can and should be contributing to society. these great minds, and all that talent not being utilized. (What a waste?) Some of us do have a sorce of revenue, but the salary is about half of what we had previously earned. You know money is stretched, jobs are few and far between and prices keep rising on just about everything, and we are all falling further behind. Many of us are even looking for a part-time job, and willing to work for very little to try and alleviate the sting of this terrible predicament of our economy. Can you imagine how tough the situation is when a professional; with years of learning and several degrees are willing to accept a position for minimal dollars and are still being rejected? That lost feeling! What do I do next? Where can I go from here? Who can help me? How can I help myself? What does the future hold for me and mine? How can I rise above this impossible time in my life?  I must keep working on finding employment! I will never give up; I can’t give in to the anxiety. I must endure all: and have patience, and fortitude. I must believe in myself, by keeping a positive attitude; because optimism is all that pushes me forward. Never let any situation best you!  Your efforts will in due course be fulfilled, and your QUEST will finally come to realization.

THE MOST DIFFICULT PROBLEMS; ALWAYS SEEM TO HAVE THE SIMPLEST SOLUTION.
